Statement of Faith

The most important thing to remember about Christian faith is that God loves each and every one of us. ‘Warts and all’.

We believe that God has spoken to us in the person of Jesus Christ – and that he is God’s Son. He came to live among us, he taught us through parables or stories found in the Gospels. He showed us how to live good lives. Out of love for humankind, he died for us on the cross, to save us from our sins.

We can experience God’s love and empowering, helping us to be faithful Christians, through the work of the Holy Spirit. And each person will have different experiences of God’s love and God’s empowering Holy Spirit working in their lives. Many people talk about how their lives have been transformed for the better.

Together, we are church – the family of God. We meet together to worship God in our church. We learn from each other, we support each other, and together we try to serve the community around us.

If you want to learn more about the Christian faith, then why not come along and see for yourself what Christians are about?

From time to time, we hold courses for people who’d like to learn more. Speak to the Vicar and ask when the next course is running.
